What is intercession?
The word intercede means to come between, mediate, stand in the gap.
So therefore – when we intercede for others, we stand in the gap for them and ask God to mediate on their behalf.
Just as Jesus intercedes for us before the throne, so are we all called to intercede for each other. Intercession is for everyone – you don’t have to be a ‘good’ prayer because God looks at our heart. So, even when you are silent, God hears your heart’s cry.
How and where do we meet?
We meet on Friday’s at Down Town Christian Center or the City Hall from 12-2pm. We will be joining people from around the East London to pray for the city. On Tuesday morning we meet from 5-6am where we will be doing prayer patrol in Quigney as well as our church.
